Cinnaholic Opens in Virginia Beach Town Center

As much as I proclaim that I don’t eat sweets, I will never turn down a warm, fluffy cinnamon roll. That’s why I was beyond excited to learn that a Cinnaholic location was coming to Virginia Beach Town Center.

About Cinnaholic

Cinnaholic specializes in gourmet cinnamon rolls. Driven by a mission to satisfy everyone’s dessert cravings, all of Cinnaholic’s offerings are 100% vegan, meaning they are dairy, lactose and egg free.

Create your own cinnamon roll from more than 20 frosting flavors and a plethora of topping options. Or, order one of the signature rolls, such as the Cookie Monster topped with cookie dough and the Tropical Bliss with raspberry frosting, bananas, blueberries and coconut. Cinnaholic’s menu also includes cookie dough by the scoop and container, baked cookies, brownies and dole whip.

Cinnaholic Virginia Beach

Cinnaholic has bakeries across the country and, the day before the grand opening, I attended a VIP event for the brand-new Virginia Beach location.

Overwhelmed by all of the create-your-own options, I ordered one of the signature rolls. If you’re more creative than me, I highly recommend switching up your average cinnamon roll with cake batter- or crème brûlée-flavored icing. Or, if you like the classics, the Old Skool is a modest roll with vanilla frosting.

Cinnaholic offers a take on one of my favorite desserts, apple pie. I ordered the Caramel Apple Pie roll, dripping with caramel frosting and topped with fresh apple pieces, pecans, pie crumble and a drizzle of caramel sauce.

For me, the trademark of a good cinnamon roll is messy fingers. While I did eat with a fork in public, as soon as I got home it was time for the big bites. The roll itself was soft and not wrapped too tightly, allowing the caramel frosting to drip between the crevices and soak into every bite. The fresh apple and pecans added a nice crunch and made for their own snack once I devoured the roll itself.

Cinnaholic Virginia Beach was the perfect indulgent treat, and I was SO glad it didn’t wreak havoc on my lactose-intolerant body.

Cinnaholic Virginia Beach is located at 209 Central Park Ave., Virginia Beach.
