Black-Owned Restaurants in Charlotte

Charlotte’s food scene is home to a diverse array of restaurants, bars, bakeries and more, many of which are Black owned. These Black-owned food and drink businesses are not only receiving praise from local foodies, but also gaining national acclaim. Several area chefs and restauranteurs have even earned recognition from the prestigious James Beard Foundation.

To celebrate and support these Black-owned spots in the Queen City, I’ve put together a map of the Black owned restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, breweries, cocktail bars and more in the Charlotte region. If I’m missing any, please let me know and I’m happy to add them in.

Save this map for when you’re planning your trip to Charlotte, or use it while you’re here. This map is broken down into four categories:

  • Restaurants

  • Beer, Wine & Cocktails

  • Bakeries/Desserts

  • Coffee, Tea, Juice & Smoothies
